On the other hand, a local proxy functions on individual devices, enhancing privacy, security, and performance, configured by users on their devices, accessing only resources available to the device, and managed by individual users.

Local proxies offer various benefits, including enhanced privacy by masking your IP address, bypassing geo-restrictions for accessing region-locked content, optimizing internet speed by caching frequently accessed resources, and filtering content for parental control or security purposes.

To configure a Local Proxy with Bright Data, you need to follow these steps:

1. Download and install the Local Proxy software from the Bright Data dashboard.
2. Once installed, open the Local Proxy software and log in using your Bright Data account credentials.
3. Configure the settings according to your needs. You can select the type of network (Residential, Datacenter, or Mobile), the country, and other settings.
4. Save your settings and start the Local Proxy.
